Cuyahoga Arts & Culture is governed by a board of five trustees appointed by the Cuyahoga County Executive and confirmed by Cuyahoga County Council.
Board members serve rotating three-year terms. The Cuyahoga Arts & Culture Board of Trustees currently meets six times a year at 4 p.m. on the second Monday of designated months. All CAC Board of Trustees meetings are open to the public. The Board of Trustees are meeting in various grantee locations throughout 2011. Specific dates and locations are listed below.

Matthew Charboneau is the Business Director for Agnes Studio, a graphic design studio located in midtown Cleveland whose mission is to cultivate first-rate design thinking, practice, and education. Mr. Charboneau earned a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and a Master of Nonprofit Organization from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management.
He has been active in arts programming, management and promotion in the Cleveland area for the past several years, most recently serving as Network Leader for COSE Arts Network. Mr. Charboneau has also worked in educational outreach as the Associate Director for Roots of American Music, a nonprofit organization that delivers arts based assembly and residency programs to underserved schools throughout Northeast Ohio.
A professional musician for the past twenty years, Mr. Charboneau has performed regionally, nationally and internationally in jazz, rock, blues, roots music, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music ensembles. He plays the double bass and electric bass, and studies traditional folk instruments on the side. He served as guest clinician and adjudicator for the 2004 Tiffin Jazz Festival, twice served as artist-in-residence for the Summer Festival of the Arts in Bar Harbor, Maine and has been featured numerous times on NPR and PBS.

Chris Coburn is the Cleveland Clinic's chief commercialization officer, serving as Executive Director of CCF Innovations (since its establishment in 2000). He is a recognized authority on technology commercialization and has consulted, testified and spoken on the subject throughout North America and in 18 countries. He leads a team of nearly two dozen industry veterans. Mr. Coburn serves on the board of directors of CleveX, Merlot Therapeutics, PeriTec, PrognostiX, and BioEnterprise. He is a trustee of Hathaway Brown School, Northeast Ohio Council of Higher Education, and Town Hall of Cleveland. He is a former Vice President and General Manager of Battelle Memorial Institute, director of the U.S. Enrichment Corporation (NYSE:USU) and author of numerous articles and book chapters on technology commercialization. He was editor and co-author of Partnerships, the key reference book on public technology commercialization. He served as Ohio's first Science Advisor, Assistant Director and Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Development and Executive Director of Ohio's Thomas Edison Program. Career highlights include:
- Ohio's first Science Advisor, serving on the staff of former Governor Richard Celeste for 8 years.
- Line manager of all of Ohio's technology programs serving as ODOD Assistant Director and Deputy Director as well as Executive Director of Ohio's Thomas Edison Program.
- Vice President and General Manager of Battelle Memorial Institute, leading one of Battelle's principal operating units, specializing in technology commercialization. At Battelle, Mr. Coburn advised dozens of clients on strategies and programs to enhance the commercialization of technology developed at universities, hospitals, federal labs and companies. He has testified in numerous state legislatures, to state technology commissions and is author of many monographs and presentations on criteria for commercialization success.
- Executive Director of the Great Lakes Industrial Technology Center, charged with commercializing NASA technology throughout the Great Lakes region (including Ohio) and also, through its Garrett Morgan Commercialization Initiative, assisting minority companies in taking advantage of federal technology capabilities.
- Editor and author of Partnerships, the definitive reference book on public technology commercialization.
- Founder and former President of the State Science and Technology Institute, the national non-profit dedicated to assisting all states in the management of their technology development programs.
- Founding Chairman, Science and Technology Council of the States.
- Staff Director of the Carnegie Commission Task Force on Science, Technology and the States, one of the units of the Carnegie Commission on Science, Technology and Government.
- Staff Director of White House Task Force on Science, Technology and the States.

- Founding Board Member, Midwest Technology Development Institute (appointed by Governor Celeste) and former board member of the Edison Welding Institute and Ohio Aerospace Council.

- Appropriations staff to U.S Representative Louis Stokes with responsibility for VA, HUD and Independent Agencies (including NSF and NASA).

- Appointed by President Clinton and confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Enrichment Corporation (USEC). The USEC plant outside of Portsmouth is the largest employer in Southeastern Ohio.

Sari Feldman joined Cuyahoga County Public Library on June 2, 2003, as its Executive Director. Cuyahoga County Public Library has 28 branches that serve 47 suburban communities. It consistently ranks as one of the nation's top ten best and busiest library systems and is know for its innovative and entrepreneurial service model. Ms. Feldman, of Shaker Heights, is the former Deputy Director of the Cleveland Public Library. She joined the Cleveland Library system in June 1997 when she was appointed Head of Community Services. She was promoted to Deputy Director in October 1999.
Since 1984 she has served as an adjunct faculty member at the School of Information Studies, Syracuse University, in Syracuse, New York, teaching graduate courses in library management, reference services, policy and grant writing. She was honored in 1995 with the Vice President's Award for Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Feldman is a member of Leadership Cleveland class of 2004. She was the President of the Public Library Association (term 2009-2010) and has been a national spokesperson for public libraries. She is also a member of the American Library Association, Beta Phi Mu, and the Ohio Library Council. She has written widely for professional publications and is the co-author of three books. The most recent book is Learning Environments for Young Children (ALA, 1998).

Mrs. Johnson has been the Executive Director of Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation (FRDC) since 1997. Under her leadership, she has directed over $93 million in new investments in the Fairfax neighborhood with $25 million planned for 2009 and 2010. In her eleven years, FRDC has grown from an organization with $26,000 in net assets to one with $26 million in net assets.
Prior to her employment at FRDC, she served as Manager of the City of Cleveland's Housing Construction Office, Housing Director for Hough Area Partners in Progress and Legislative Assistant to the Democratic Caucus in the Ohio State Senate.
Mrs. Johnson is a graduate of the Cleveland public school system and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. She received her Masters degree in Public Administration in 1992 from the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. Crain's Cleveland Business Class of 2000, 40 under Forty and Kaleidoscope Magazine's Class of 2000 Forty Club recognized Vickie. In 2002, she was presented with the Alumni Emerging Leadership Award from Cleveland State University. Her most recent recognition came as part of Cleveland Clinic's 2008 MLK community breakfast celebration where she was presented with the Leadership and Excellence in Service Award.
In addition to her job responsibilities, Vickie is married to Darryl Johnson and is the mother of two boys (Christopher and Derrick) and volunteers with various non-profit and social service organizations including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Senior Outreach Services Inc. She is also a member of The Word Church.

Steven Minter was appointed Executive-In-Residence at Cleveland State University in September 2003, following his retirement after 28 years from The Cleveland Foundation. At Cleveland State he assists the President in strengthening collaborative relationships between the university and community and is a Fellow, Center for Nonprofit Policy and Practice, Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. He served as President and Executive Director of The Cleveland Foundation, the nation's first community foundation, from 1984 until his retirement in July 2003. The Foundation's mission involved improving the quality of life in Greater Cleveland, building community endowment, and providing leadership on key community issues. The Cleveland Foundation under his guidance became the largest private source of arts and culture contributions in Cuyahoga County.
Outside the Foundation, he spent over 15 years in governmental positions. This includes service as the first Under Secretary for the United States Department of Education under President Jimmy Carter; Commissioner of Public Welfare for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Director of the Cuyahoga County Welfare Department. Mr. Minter has served on and or chaired boards of numerous national and regional organizations and corporations including College of Wooster, Community Foundations of America, American Public Welfare Association, National Community AIDS Partnership, United Way Services, Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, KeyCorp, Dominion Resources, Inc., CNG, Rubbermaid and Ohio Bell Telephone Company.
